I’d almost given up on finding a comfortable sandal I actually wanted to wear
Why finding something comfortable, supportive and still feminine became harder than I expected.
For years, getting dressed for summer was never really the problem. I always had a dress I liked, a pair of linen trousers, something simple for lunch or dinner.
It was the shoes that became difficult.
I had plenty of sandals that looked lovely in the wardrobe, but after an hour or two I would start thinking about my feet instead of enjoying the day. And the pairs that were genuinely comfortable often felt a little too practical for the clothes I actually wanted to wear.
Somewhere along the way, I had started accepting that this was simply the choice: pretty or comfortable.
